Context and objectives
RATP wished to submit its asset renewal programmes to independent external review, in order to assess the appropriate level of investment and project investment requirements over the coming decade.
Approach and results
The methodology combined quantitative assessment at macroscopic scale, field surveys and interviews with those responsible for asset maintenance.
The study produced an appraisal of asset condition and an estimate of investment requirements by equipment family.
A number of industrial topics likely to improve maintenance efficiency were also addressed.
