Consolidated investment trajectories and prioritised budget allocation

The budgets allocated to modernising and renewing the French national rail network are set to grow over the coming years, bringing an increase in the volume of works and in the industrial complexity that goes with it.

SNCF Réseau has also transformed its asset management by decentralising works programming to the regional directorates.

Against this background, SNCF Réseau wants to optimise how it allocates resources between asset families and between network categories, while respecting regional industrial capacity.

Results

An investment master plan and its multi-year budget framework, worth €4.5 billion a year over 20 years. Resources optimally allocated between engineering structures, earthworks, track and switches, overhead lines and substations, signalling and network control, and telecommunications installations.
